Veganz Group and HEBA Food conclude exclusive agreement to market the milk alternative Mililk® and the meat alternative Peas on Earth in Switzerland

Ludwigsfelde, 10 March 2025 – Veganz Group AG (WKN: A3E5ED / symbol: VEZ) and the renowned Heba Food Holding AG today signed a long-term exclusive agreement for the distribution of the innovative milk alternative Mililk® and the meat alternative Peas on Earth in the catering trade (food service) for Switzerland.

HEBA Food holds a leading position in wholesale supply for the Swiss catering trade and will take over distribution for the Veganz Group for the food service, out-of-home market and retail trade in Switzerland, including wholesale. With its seven subsidiaries, HEBA Food generates an annual turnover of 200 million Swiss francs, is a long-standing catering specialist (delicatessen and caterer) and also supplies the Swiss retail trade.

As part of the partnership, Veganz will supply the Peas-on-Earth product range in addition to its innovative Mililk® product. The Peas-on-Earth products are an innovative meat alternative based on pea protein from Europe.

The texturised pea protein products are available as mince, chunks and steaks and can be used in a variety of ways. They are produced without genetic engineering, are soya and wheat-free, have a long shelf life and are real winners in terms of their nutritional profile with a protein content of up to 80 per cent when dry.

When cooked, they are juicy, firm to the bite and have no foreign flavour, making them a delight not only for meat eaters but also for vegans.

HEBA Food plans to use the peas-on-earth steak to produce convenience food solutions, e.g. plant-based schnitzel, plant-based burger patties and for use in company catering and the out-of-home market.

Mililk® Oat Barista in sheet form, produced using the 2D printing process, is a flexible, plant-based milk alternative made from organic wholemeal oats that can be prepared quickly and as required. It saves up to 90 per cent in transport, storage and disposal costs compared to conventional products. Thanks to the low processing stage in combination with organic and barista quality as well as the individual and fresh preparation, it can also be used as a high-quality cooking cream and for all latte variations.

According to Statista, sales in the Swiss retail market for meat substitutes are expected to total around 260.8 million euros in 2025. According to the experts, the market volume will reach around 420.1 million euros in 2030.[1] This corresponds to an annual sales growth (CAGR) of 9.94 per cent.  According to a plant-based food report by Coop, 57 per cent of Swiss people state that they consciously avoid animal-based foods such as meat, dairy products and eggs several times a month.[2]
